Jean Nsabumuremyi named new director of the Multicultural Student Services Center - The University of Rhode Island has named Jean Nsabumuremyi, director of Idaho State University’s TRIO Educational Opportunity Center, as the new director of the Multicultural Student Services Center.
URI honors Professor Vanessa Quainoo, students, faculty, staff for extraordinary efforts to foster diversity and inclusivity - On May 11, 2021 the University honored Professor Vanessa Wynder Quainoo for her lifelong commitment to diversity and inclusion, along with six community members and two organizations as part of its annual Diversity and Inclusive Excellence Awards Ceremony.- URI student leaders honored with 32nd annual Rainville Awards - On June 1, 2020, the University honored three undergraduate student leaders and one student organization as part of its 32nd annual A. Robert Rainville Leadership Awards.
